Terms & Conditions
Organizer: World With Others UG / Nadine und Tom Michelberger
Version: June 2026
Preamble
PEOPLE is built on trust, care, curiosity and mutual respect.
The festival exists to create space for artistic collaboration, discovery and meaningful encounters. By attending the festival, guests become part of a temporary community and agree to contribute to an atmosphere of openness, consideration and shared responsibility.
We ask everyone to help create an environment in which artists, guests, staff and partners can feel safe, welcome and free to participate. Mutual respect, kindness and care for one another are essential parts of the PEOPLE experience.
I. Scope of application
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to all contracts relating to the purchase of tickets and attendance at PEOPLE Festival ("Festival"), organized by World with Others UG, Warschauer Straße 39–40, 10243 Berlin, Germany ("Organizer").
Any conflicting terms proposed by the purchaser shall not apply unless expressly agreed to in writing by the Organizer.
These Terms apply to both consumers and business customers.
II. Contract formation and ticket purchase
A contract for attendance at the Festival is concluded upon completion of the booking process and receipt of full payment.
Tickets may be purchased only through the official Festival website.
By purchasing a ticket, the purchaser accepts these Terms in full.
A ticket grants admission to the Festival on the date(s) specified on the ticket.
III. Prices and payment
All ticket prices include applicable VAT at the rate in force at the time of purchase.
Any booking fees, service charges or delivery costs will be displayed during the purchase process.
Payment may be made using the payment methods offered at checkout.
Tickets will only be issued upon receipt of full payment.
In the event of late payment, the Organizer may charge statutory interest in accordance with applicable German law.
IV. Admission and entry requirements
Admission is subject to presentation of a valid ticket, either digital or in printed form.
Children and minors may attend only when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Parents and guardians remain responsible for the safety and conduct of minors attending the Festival.
Unless otherwise stated, leaving the Festival grounds may result in loss of re-entry privileges.
The Organizer reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any person from the Festival grounds where there is reasonable cause to believe that such person:
• is under the excessive influence of alcohol or drugs;
• poses a risk to the safety or wellbeing of others;
• engages in disruptive, abusive or unlawful conduct; or
• violates these Terms.
Security personnel may carry out bag checks, personal searches and other reasonable security measures at entry points.
V. Prohibited items
The following items are not permitted on Festival grounds:
• weapons of any kind and dangerous objects;
• glass containers;
• open beverage containers;
• outside food and beverages (except where medically required);
• fireworks, flares and pyrotechnics;
• drones or remotely operated aircraft;
• professional photography, film or recording equipment without prior authorization; and
• animals, except certified assistance animals.
Any prohibited items may be confiscated and persons refusing to comply may be denied entry.
VI. Photography, filming and event documentation
The Festival may be photographed, filmed and otherwise documented by the Organizer and its authorized partners.
Such recordings are made on the basis of the Organizer's legitimate interest in documenting, reporting on and promoting the Festival in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Photographs, video recordings and audio recordings may be used in connection with editorial coverage, Festival communications, future promotional materials and related activities.
The Organizer will take reasonable account of the legitimate interests and personality rights of guests.
Guests who do not wish to appear in close-up photographs or individual recordings are encouraged to contact Festival staff on site.
Further information regarding the processing of personal data can be found in the Festival Privacy Policy.
VIa. Photography, filming and recording policy
PEOPLE is intended as a space for immediate, intimate and often unique musical encounters.
Personal photographs for private use are generally permitted provided they do not interfere with artists, guests or Festival operations.
Without the prior permission of the Organizer or participating artists, the following are prohibited:
• extensive filming or recording of performances;
• livestreaming of performances or Festival activities;
• professional or commercial recording; and
• publication of complete performances or substantial portions thereof.
Additional restrictions may apply to specific performances, artists or areas of the Festival. Guests must comply with any such instructions.
VII. Programme changes, artist changes, postponement and cancellation
The Organizer reserves the right to alter the Festival programme, performance schedule, venue locations, site layout and other operational aspects of the Festival where reasonably necessary.
The appearance of individual artists, speakers, performers or other participants cannot be guaranteed. Changes to the line-up, substitutions, cancellations of individual performances or other programme adjustments shall not entitle ticket holders to a refund or compensation, provided that the overall character of the Festival remains substantially unchanged.
The Organizer may temporarily interrupt performances or restrict access to individual areas of the Festival site where reasonably necessary for safety, operational or technical reasons. Temporary interruptions or restrictions shall not entitle ticket holders to refunds or compensation unless required by mandatory law.
The Organizer reserves the right to relocate the Festival or parts thereof to another suitable venue if reasonably necessary. Such relocation shall not entitle ticket holders to refunds or compensation, provided that the overall character of the Festival remains substantially unchanged.
If the Festival is interrupted, postponed, relocated, cancelled or otherwise affected due to circumstances beyond the Organizer's reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, fire, flooding, epidemic or pandemic, public health emergencies, government restrictions or prohibitions, official safety orders, licensing conditions, capacity restrictions, strikes, acts of terrorism, war, civil unrest, cyber-attacks, infrastructure failures, utility failures, structural damage, transport disruptions, supplier failures, shortages of essential personnel or similar force majeure events, the Organizer shall not be liable for resulting losses to the extent permitted by law.
The Organizer may also postpone, interrupt or cancel the Festival where its performance has become impossible, unlawful or commercially unreasonable despite reasonable efforts by the Organizer.
In the event of a postponement, all purchased tickets shall automatically remain valid for the rescheduled Festival.
The Organizer will use reasonable efforts to organize a replacement date. Any rescheduled Festival is intended to take place within twelve (12) months of the original Festival dates where reasonably practicable.
Where tickets remain valid for a rescheduled Festival, refunds shall not be granted except where mandatory applicable law provides otherwise or where the replacement date is objectively unreasonable for the respective ticket holder.
Complete cancellation means that the Festival does not take place at all and no replacement date is announced.
In the event of a complete cancellation, ticket holders shall be entitled to a refund of the ticket price actually paid to the Organizer for the ticket. Booking fees, payment processing fees, transaction fees, merchant fees and other charges retained by payment service providers (including, without limitation, Stripe, PayPal or comparable providers), as well as fees charged by third-party ticketing or distribution partners under their own terms, may be deducted from any refund where such amounts are not reimbursed to the Organizer.
The Organizer shall not be responsible for travel expenses, accommodation costs, transport costs, visa costs, loss of earnings, loss of enjoyment, indirect damages, consequential damages or any other ancillary expenses or losses incurred by ticket holders in connection with programme changes, interruptions, postponements, relocations or cancellations.
Nothing in this Section limits any mandatory statutory rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
VIII. Ticket returns, non-attendance and resale
Tickets are generally non-refundable.
If a ticket holder chooses not to attend the Festival for personal reasons, no refund of the ticket price shall be granted.
The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply pursuant to Section 312g paragraph 2 no. 9 of the German Civil Code (BGB), as the ticket relates to a leisure event taking place on a specific date.
Guests are solely responsible for planning and organizing their arrival to the Festival and for allowing sufficient time for travel, entry procedures and security checks.
The Organizer accepts no responsibility for missed performances, delayed arrival, missed entry windows, transportation disruptions, visa issues, personal scheduling conflicts or any other circumstance that prevents a ticket holder from attending the Festival on time.
If a ticket holder arrives after admission has closed, after a performance has begun, or otherwise fails to arrive in time to use their ticket, the ticket shall be deemed forfeited and no refund, exchange or compensation shall be granted.
Tickets are intended solely for personal use.
Commercial or business resale of tickets, including resale for profit or through unauthorized platforms, is prohibited without the prior written consent of the Organizer.
Where available, the Organizer may offer an official ticket transfer or resale process. Any such process will be governed by separate published rules.
The Organizer reserves the right to invalidate tickets that have been sold or transferred in violation of these Terms.
IX. House rules and security
The Organizer exercises house rights throughout the Festival grounds.
Guests must comply with all instructions issued by Festival staff, security personnel, emergency services and authorized representatives of the Organizer.
Persons who repeatedly disturb the peace, harass others, act unlawfully or violate these Terms may be removed from the Festival without refund.
The possession, consumption, distribution or sale of illegal substances is prohibited and may be reported to the relevant authorities.
IXa. Health and personal responsibility
Attendance at the Festival is at the guest's own risk.
Guests are responsible for assessing their own physical condition and suitability for participation.
The Festival may involve exposure to loud sound levels, large crowds, changing weather conditions, uneven terrain and extended periods of standing or walking.
Guests are encouraged to take appropriate precautions regarding hearing protection, hydration, sun protection and general wellbeing.
Guests with specific medical requirements are encouraged to inform themselves in advance about available facilities and support.
IXb. Evacuation and safety measures
For safety reasons or in response to official instructions, the Organizer may restrict access to, close or evacuate individual areas or the entire Festival site.
In the event of an evacuation or safety-related instruction, guests must immediately comply with directions given by Festival staff, security personnel, emergency services or public authorities.
Failure to comply may result in removal from the Festival.
Safety measures, access restrictions or evacuations do not entitle guests to refunds unless required by applicable law.
IXc. Community & respect policy
PEOPLE is committed to fostering an environment of openness, dignity and mutual respect.
Discrimination, harassment, intimidation or abusive behaviour based on gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, age or any other personal characteristic will not be tolerated.
All guests are expected to respect personal boundaries and contribute to a safe, welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
The Organizer reserves the right to remove any person whose conduct endangers, harasses or significantly interferes with the experience of artists, guests, staff or partners.
Removal from the Festival under this section shall not entitle the affected person to any refund.
X. Liability of the Organizer
The Organizer shall be liable without limitation for damages arising from injury to life, body or health and for damages caused intentionally or through gross negligence.
In cases of ordinary negligence, the Organizer shall only be liable for breaches of essential contractual obligations and only for foreseeable damages typical of the contract.
Any further liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
The Organizer accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings unless caused by intentional misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the Organizer.
XI. Liability of guests
Guests are liable for any damage caused by their actions to Festival property, facilities, equipment or infrastructure.
Guests shall indemnify the Organizer against third-party claims arising from their unlawful or negligent conduct.
XII. Data protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Further details can be found in the Festival Privacy Policy available on the Festival website.
XIII. Final provisions
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
If the purchaser is a merchant, legal entity under public law or special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction shall be Berlin, Germany.
Mandatory consumer protection rights and statutory jurisdictions remain unaffected.
Should any provision of these Terms be found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Any amendments or additions to these Terms must be made in text form. Unilateral amendments by guests or purchasers shall be ineffective.
